Our Story
We launched My Travel Memoirs to document and share our travel adventures as well as provide helpful tips for other travelers. As avid explorers who have backpacked through over 30 countries across 6 continents so far, we felt compelled to start a blog where we could recount our favorite destinations, must-see sights, where to stay and eat, and so much more.
Over the years, our small passion project has turned into a renowned platform visited by hundreds of thousands of travelers every month seeking our first-hand local expertise. While the blog may have grown prominent, our mission remains the same – to inspire authentic and immersive travel by sharing our real experiences.

Samantha Lee (Editor-in-Chief) From childhood road trips across the United States, Samantha Lee developed a passion for travel. This early exposure ignited her wanderlust, leading her to backpack across Europe, embark on safaris in Africa, and explore the islands of Southeast Asia. When not journeying with her reliable suitcase, Samantha is often found charting out her forthcoming adventure.
